Entrance to Garden. |
After resting up on Saturday, Little Buckaroo and I needed to get out of the house and have some fun. So, off we headed to Kid's Adventure Garden located in the
Conejo Valley Botanic Garden in Thousand Oaks, CA. I had come across information on the Kid's Adventure Garden in the past but never ventured out there. The Garden is less than 10 miles from my house and the weather was perfect for an outdoor adventure.
We were pleasantly greeted at the entrance with a smile by one of the volunteers. The Kid's Adventure Garden is small but perfectly sized for little kids. Not that you'll need one there is a cute directory to help guide you.

Show me the way. |
Little Buckaroo didn't waste any time heading over to the treehouse. The treehouse is totally adorable, I want one. He climbed up and around the treehouse for awhile, taking a moment to wave to me from the top.

I want one |
There are bistro tables, picnic table, rocking chairs and a toddler size picnic tables that Little Buckaroo used to enjoy his McD's kids meal. It gave me a chance to relax in the rocking chair and enjoy the warmth of the sun and watch the fluttering butterflies.

Yummy |
After lunch, we headed to th Pirates Cave. We looked for the pirates treasure and practice saying "argh".

Just his size. |
We wondered around for a bit, looking at the flowers and water fountains.

It's a jungle out there. |

Enjoying the day |
Then it was tea time. Little Buckaroo served me up some afternoon tea, such a little gentleman.

I'll take mine with honey, please. |
The backside of the Kid's Adventure Garden leads to hiking trails. We wondered on the trail for a bit taking a few bridges to cross over the creek. I made sure to keep Little Buckaroo on the trail because it's Poison Ivy season...ekk!

Awesome trails |
We had a great afternoon and can't wait to go back and explore some more trails. If you head out there be sure to put on your sunscreen and bring some water.
