I couldn't let my Little Buckaroo's second birthday go buy without a party. Well, for a moment there, I have to admit I thought about not having a party because of all the stress but when I received a daily deal email from the Wildlife Learning Center in Sylmar, I was sold. So, the party was on. Plus Little Buckaroo was moving on to a new Preschool so it was also a farewell party of sorts. My Little Buckaroo has been going to the Devonshire School since he was 3 months old and it had been his second home. We will dearly miss the staff there, especially Mrs.Ana.

As I looked through the Wildlife Learning Centers website it was very difficult to pick one party option, if I could afford it I would have picked them all. Most boys love creepy crawlers but what kid doesn't want a monkey at their party? So...I picked them both. I was so excited and couldn't wait for the party day. The Wildlife Learning Center was bringing the mini zoo to us, how cool is that? I had planned on it being a small party with the kids in his 18 month - 2 year class along with a few kids that had recently moved to the Preschool side. I put together 16 party goody bags, thinking that was more than enough.
I scheduled Little Buckaroo's party for a day before his birthday, which was his last day at the School, and the weather was sunny and warm. I arrived just as the Wildlife Biologist drove up in the van and I began to tell her where to set up when the school's owner told us that the plans had changed. Okay, no biggie, I can usually go with the flow but then the owner told me that she had invited the entire Preschool. "Say what?" Now instead of a managable small party of about 10 kids, it was a now a large party of about 40 rugrats. Now...I started to stress a little. Thank goodness the Wildlife Biologist seemed fine with the changes cause what was I suppose to do tell all the rugrats "No", yeah right.
Well, the show must go on...and it did.
